Fall Recreational Sign Up (Ages 7-15)

The Fall Recreational 9u-15u Baseball Games Only League is the perfect fit for players who already have some experience and are eager to get more game time. Whether your child is looking to refine their skills or simply enjoy the game more, this league offers a great opportunity to stay active and improve.

Through the SIYBS Recreational League, players will not only stay physically active but also develop important social skills by interacting with teammates and opponents in a positive, team-focused environment. This league emphasizes fun, teamwork, and sportsmanship while offering a chance to gain more game experience, all in preparation for potential future involvement in competitive play.

The focus is on gameplay rather than practice, allowing young athletes to experience real-game situations, improve their decision-making on the field, and build confidence. Whether a player aims to sharpen their skills for a competitive team or simply enjoy more time on the field, the 9u-15u Games Only League provides a fantastic, low-pressure environment to grow and develop as a player.

SEASON DATES: SEPT 27th – Oct 19th

• 9u teams only will have practices begin the week of September 15th
• Games start on September 27th for 10u-15u
• Games start on September 28th for 9u
• Game Schedules to be released September 17th
• Season may extend due to field availability and weather conditions

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 

• Register on or before August 21st for priority placement. Coach request and player requests may not be available after the deadline. **Registration after August 21st will be a waitlist registration

DIVISION & FEES:

•  9u  (ages 7,8,9)  $95 per player
• 10u  (ages 8, 9, 10)  $150 per player 
• 12u (ages 10, 11, 12)  $175 per player 
• 15u  (ages 13, 14, 15) $195 per player 

**a non-refundable 3% banking fee and a $1 service fee will be added at the time of check out**

GAME/PRACTICE INFORMATION:

9u

• 9u teams will be given 1 practice a week beginning the week of September 16th – this is in order to give players who are coming up from coach pitch a chance to learn player pitch skills
• Game days will be Sundays with a single game
• Games will be scheduled between 9:00am – 5:00pm
• 9u teams will play a total of 4 games throughout the season 
• Games will be played at Plantes Ferry Sports Complex 

10u-15u

• Game days for 10u-15u will be Saturdays and will consist of a double header
• Games will be scheduled between 8:00am – 8:00pm 
• 10u-15u teams will play a total of 8 games throughout the season 
• Games will be played at Dwight Merkel Sports Complex, Plantes Ferry Sports Complex and Franklin Park, unless additional fields are needed

Players are assigned to teams based on the high school area chosen in registration. If there is no team directly in the player’s area then we will assign to a team that is nearby.

PRACTICES:

• Practice fields will not be assigned for the Games Only League, except for 9u teams 
• 9u teams will be scheduled 1 practice a week starting the week of September 15th
• The volunteer coach will pick the day, time, and location based on fields available through SIYBS

• Team Jersey
• Hat 

PLAYER PROVIDES:

• Athletic shoes/cleats (9u/10u no metal cleats)
• Pants
• Glove
• Bat – Bat Buying Guide

SIYB PROVIDES TEAM:

• Gear Bag (will be turned in at the end of the season)
• Box of baseballs for each team
• Score Book
• Line Up Cards

COACH INFORMATION:

• There will be no coach meeting – a slide deck will be sent out to all coaches prior to the beginning of the season with all important information
• Equipment Pickup – September 9th – 10th from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at SIYBS Storage
• Equipment Return – October 21st from 2:30pm – 6:30pm at SIYBS Storage

VOLUNTEER COACH:

• A Volunteer Head Coach is needed before a team can be built
• All SIYB coaches are volunteers. For more information on how to become a volunteer coach, contact info@siyb.org
• Volunteer Rec Head Coaches receive 50% off one player’s registration per team coached. The 50% refund will be issued after the season starts.
• Volunteer Coaches will need to have a current background check and Abuse Prevention Certificate on file with SIYBS.
• Coaches will contact registered players after rosters have been posted.
