Spokane Indians Youth Baseball » Recreational Baseball (Ages 8-12)

Spring Recreational 10u-12u baseball league is a perfect opportunity for older kids who still need to develop some foundational skills and team structure. Not everyone wants or needs to be in the competitive league, and a fun recreational league is the right answer.

The SIYB recreation league will help kids be active and gain social experiences from a team atmosphere while gaining experience to possibly become a competitive team player.

SEASON DATES: APRIL 8th – May 23rd

Practices start the week of April 8th
Games starts the week of April 22nd (12 games)
12U Saturday Double Header & Picture Day April 20th
10U Sunday Double Header & Picture Day April 21st
Season may extend due to field availability and make up games.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Register on or before February 29th for priority placement. Coach request and player requests may not be available after the deadline. **Registration after February 29th will be a waitlist registration.

10u (ages 8,9,10) $165 per player
12u (ages 10,11,12) $175 per player

GAME/PRACTICE INFORMATION

Practices are for the first two weeks of the season, then games only
Practice field locations will be scheduled by the volunteer coach
10U Rec games/practice days Tuesday/Thursday (possibly Saturdays)
12U Rec games/practice days Mondays/Wednesdays (possibly Fridays)
12 games, games start at 6:00pm

Players are assigned to teams based on the high school area chosen in the registration. (No Draft) If there is no team directly in the player’s area then we will assign to a team that is nearby.

SIYB UNIFORM INCLUDES:

Hat, jersey, game pants, and belt

PLAYER PROVIDES:

Athletic shoes/cleats (10u no metal cleats), glove and bat

DICK’S SPORTING GOODS WEEKEND: March 29 – April 1 (stores closed on March 31)

When – March 20th at 6:00pm
Where – ZOOM (link will be sent out prior to meeting)

Gear bag, uniforms & Supply Pick Up at SIYB Storage: March 28th – 29th, 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Gear bag turn in at SIYB Storage May 29th, 2:30pm – 6:30pm

VOLUNTEER COACH:

A Volunteer Head Coach is needed before a team starts – All SIYB coaches are volunteers. For more information, contact info@siyb.org
Volunteer Rec Head Coaches receive 50% off their player’s registration. The 50% refund will be issued after the season starts.
Volunteer Coaches will need to have a current background check and Abuse Prevention Certificate on file with SIYB
