Recreational Sign Up (Ages 8-15)

Summer Recreational 10u-15u baseball league is a perfect opportunity for older kids who still need to develop some foundational skills and team structure. Not everyone wants or needs to be in the competitive league, and a fun recreational league is the right answer.

The SIYB recreation league will help kids be active and gain social experiences from a team atmosphere while gaining experience to possibly become a competitive team player.

Registration Open

SEASON DATES: June 17th – August 8th

• Practices start week of June 17th
• Regular Season starts the week of July 1st (12 Games)
• 10U Saturday Double Header Day & Picture Day July 13th 
• 12U & 15U Sunday Double Header Day & Picture Day July 14th
• Season may extend due to make up games/ field availability

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:

Register on or before May 9th for priority placement. Coach request and player requests may not be available after the deadline. **Registration after May 9th will be a waitlist registration.

DIVISIONS & FEES:

**Age Chart located at the bottom of the page

• 10u Rec (ages 8,9,10) $165 per player
• 12u Rec (ages 10,11,12) $175 per player
• 15u Rec (ages 13,14,15) $185 per player

GAME & PRACTICE INFORMATION:

• Practices are the first two weeks of the season, then games only
• Practice field location will be scheduled by the volunteer coach
• 10u Rec game/practice days Mondays and Wednesdays (and some Fridays)
• 12u Rec game/practice days Tuesday and Thursday (and some Fridays)
• 15u Rec game/practice days Tuesday and Thursday (and some Fridays)
• 12 games, games start times 6pm

We assign players based off of high school area chosen in registration. (NO draft). If there is no team directly in the player’s area then we will assign to a team that is nearby.

SIYB UNIFORM INCLUDES:

• Hat, jersey, game pants, and belt

PLAYER PROVIDES:

• Athletic shoes/cleats (10u no metal cleats), glove and bat. Athletic support cup optional

SIYB PROVIDES TEAM:

• Gear Bag (will be turned in at the end of the season)
• Box of baseballs for each team
• Score Book
• Line Up Cards
• Sportsmanship pins

COACHES MEETING:

• When – June 11th, time 7pm
• Where – Zoom
• Who – All 10u, 12u and 15u Coaches
• Gear bag, uniforms & Supply Pick Up at SIYB Storage: June 12th – 13th, 3:00pm – 6:00pm

VOLUNTEER COACH:

• A Volunteer Head Coach is needed before a team starts – All SIYB coaches are volunteers. For more information, contact info@siyb.org
• Volunteer Rec Head Coaches receive 50% off their player’s registration. The 50% refund will be issued after the season starts.
• Volunteer Coaches will need to have a current background check and Abuse Prevention Certificate on file with SIYB
• Coaches contact registered players after receiving their roster from the coaches meeting, please be patient for this contact.

UMPIRES NEEDED:

It’s never too early! SIYB is committed to providing the best recreational baseball
and learning experience for our baseball players and we are
actively recruiting umpires for the upcoming seasons in 2023. If you
know anyone who might be interested please have them contact
