Middle School Competitive Baseball League: Bridge the Gap to High School Level Play

The Middle School Competitive Baseball League is a new age division designed to extend the SIYBS competitive pathway and provide the next step beyond our current competitive league. Created for middle school athletes who want to keep progressing in a structured, high-level environment, this league allows players to continue developing their skills, baseball IQ, and competitive mindset as they prepare for high school–level play.

This division offers a faster pace of play, increased competition, and a clear progression within SIYBS—giving families and athletes a seamless opportunity to stay competitive, stay connected, and keep building toward the next level.

REGULAR SEASON DATES: June 3rd – July 2nd

Maximum of 8 teams – registration may close early if max teams is reached
Regular Season Games starts the week of June 3rd
8 Regular Season Games, plus the All City Championship Tournament at the end of the season
season may extend due to field availability and/or make up games if needed

Registration Deadline: Register on or before May 14th

Please note, this league will be limited to 8 teams. Registration may close prior to the deadline if capacity is reached.

HOW TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM
*Team must be registered by the Head Coach*

Log into your Sports account HERE
Click on “Volunteer”
Click on “Find Volunteer Roles”
Find “2026 Middle School Competitive Baseball”
View Divisions for the program
Choose the Division for the age group your team is and complete the registration
Following completion of the registration, you will receive a confirmation email
In your confirmation email, there will be a button to “invite players”
Click on the button and send invites to all players that will be playing during the 2026 season
Players CANNOT register for the competitive league until coach has registered the team and paid the team fee

DIVISIONS & FEES:

Middle School – $1,650 per team (54ft mound, 80ft bases)

**a non-refundable 3% banking fee and a $1 service fee will be added at the time of check out**

**Players must be a current Middle School Student (Grades 6, 7, or 8) as of the registration deadline to be eligible to play**

GAME INFORMATION:

Games will be on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with games scheduled at 4:30pm and 6:30pm
All games will be played at either Dwight Merkel or Franklin Park Sport Complexes
The All City Championship will be scheduled June 29 – July 2
Schedules will be posted by May 22nd

TEAMS PROVIDE:

Team Uniforms
Team Equipment such as catcher’s gear, helmets, bats, etc.

COACHES’ INFORMATION:

Coaches’ Meeting – May 27th at 6:00pm – Zoom Link to be emailed out to all coaches
All Competitive Coaches (head coaches and assistant coaches) will need to have a current background check and Abuse Prevention Certificate on file with SIYBS
