Spring 2026 Recreational Baseball (Ages 8-12)

Spring Recreational Baseball is the perfect fit for players who are still developing their skills and growing their understanding of the game. Designed for kids who aren’t quite ready for competitive pressures, this league offers a fun, supportive environment where athletes can build confidence, learn teamwork, and continue strengthening their fundamentals.

Through the SIYBS recreational program, players stay active, make new friends, and enjoy the spirit of the game, all while gaining experience that can prepare them for future competitive play. It’s all about learning, having fun, and growing together as a team.

SEASON DATES: April 13th – June 4th

Practices start the week of April 13th
Games starts the week of April 20th (9 total games)
Season may extend due to field availability and make up games.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Register on or before March 5th for priority placement. Coach request and player requests may not be available after the deadline. **Registration after March 5th will be a waitlist registration.

DIVISIONS & FEES

10u (ages 8,9,10) – $175 per player
12u (ages 10,11,12) – $200 per player

**a non-refundable 3% banking fee and a $1 service fee will be added at the time of check out**

GAME/PRACTICE INFORMATION

Volunteer coaches will schedule the practice location and time with SIYBS on their scheduled day.
Total of 9 scheduled games.
Games will start at 6:00pm on their scheduled day (except for double headers).
Schedules are estimated to be released by April 8th.

10u

10u will have practices on Monday and Wednesday for the first week of season
Starting the week of April 20th, practices will be on Mondays and games will be on Wednesdays
10U teams will have a Saturday Double Header & Picture Day on April 25th

12u

12u will have practices on Tuesday and Thursday for the first week of season
Starting the week of April 20th, practices will be on Tuesdays and games will be on Thursdays
12U teams will have a Sunday Double Header & Picture Day on April 26th

Players are assigned to teams based on the high school area chosen in the registration. If there is no team directly in the player’s area then we will assign to a team that is nearby.

COACH INFORMATION:

Coaches’ Meeting – March 25th at 6:00pm – Zoom Link to be emailed out to all coaches
Equipment Pickup – April 1st and April 2nd from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at SIYBS Storage
Equipment Return – June 9th from 2:30pm – 6:30pm at SIYBS Storage

VOLUNTEER COACH:

A Volunteer Head Coach is needed before a team can be built
All SIYBS coaches are volunteers. For more information on how to become a volunteer coach, contact info@siyb.org
Volunteer Rec Head Coaches receive 50% off one player’s registration per team coached. The 50% refund will be issued after the season starts.
Volunteer Coaches will need to have a current background check and Abuse Prevention Certificate on file with SIYBS.
Coaches will contact registered players after rosters have been posted.
