Spring 2026 Recreational Softball (Ages 8-14)

Our recreational softball league is the perfect place for players of all experience levels to stay active, build skills, and have fun. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or already have some playing time under your belt, this league offers a welcoming, supportive environment focused on growth, teamwork, and enjoying the game. Players sign up individually and are matched with teams based on teammate requests, coach preferences, and their local area.

With everything provided—from uniforms to helmets and catcher’s gear—you’ll be ready to jump in and play. If you’re looking to improve your skills, make new friends, and experience softball in a relaxed, team-oriented setting, this league is the perfect fit. Join us and enjoy a season full of energy, learning, and fun!

SEASON DATES: APRIL 13th – JUNE 4TH

Practices start the week of April 13th
Games starts the week of April 20th (9 games)
Season may extend due to field availability and/or make up games if needed

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:

Register on or before March 5th for priority placement. Coach request and player requests may not be available after the deadline. **Registration after March 5th will be a waitlist registration.

DIVISIONS & FEES:

10u (ages 8,9,10 as of 12/31/2025) – $175 per player
- Our 10U Rec Softball League is a natural progression from 8U Coach Pitch, introducing players to pitching at a comfortable pace. Each game features half player-pitch and half coach-pitch innings, helping athletes build confidence while keeping play fun and competitive.
12u (ages 10,11,12 as of 12/31/2025) – $200 per player
14u (ages 12,13, 14 as of 12/31/2025) – $200 per player

**a non-refundable 3% banking fee and a $1 service fee will be added at the time of check out**

PRACTICE/GAME INFORMATION:

Volunteer coaches will schedule the practice location and time with SIYBS on their scheduled day.
Total of 9 scheduled games.
Games will start at 6:00pm on their scheduled day (except for double headers).
Schedules are estimated to be released by April 8th.

12u & 14u

14u and 12u teams will have practices on Monday and Wednesday for the first week of season
Starting the week of April 21st, practices will be on Mondays and games will be on Wednesdays
14u and 12u teams will have a Saturday Double Header & Picture Day on April 25th

10u

10u will have practices on Tuesday and Thursday for the first week of season
Starting the week of April 20th, practices will be on Tuesdays and games will be on Thursdays
10U teams will have a Sunday Double Header & Picture Day on April 26th

Players are assigned to teams based on the high school area chosen in the registration. If there is no team directly in the player’s area then we will assign to a team that is nearby.

COACH INFORMATION:

Coaches’ Meeting – March 25th at 7:00pm – Zoom Link to be emailed out to all coaches
Equipment Pickup – April 1st and April 2nd from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at SIYBS Storage
Equipment Return – June 9th from 2:30pm – 6:30pm at SIYBS Storage

VOLUNTEER COACH:

Coaches will contact registered players after rosters have been posted.
A Volunteer Head Coach is needed before a team can be built
All SIYB coaches are volunteers. For more information on how to become a volunteer coach, contact info@siyb.org
Volunteer Rec Head Coaches receive 50% off one player’s registration per team coached. The 50% refund will be issued after the season starts.
Volunteer Coaches will need to have a current background check and Abuse Prevention Certificate on file with SIYBS.
