Spokane Indians Youth Baseball » Summer T-Ball & Coach Pitch (Ages 4-8)

The SIYBS T-Ball and Coach Pitch program is the perfect place for young kids to get started in baseball. Designed for children who are new to the sport, this league offers a fun and supportive environment where they can learn the fundamentals of the game while making new friends and developing a love for the sport.

We offer T-ball for children ages 4-6, as well as Coach Pitch baseball for kids ages 4-8. Whether they’re learning to hit, catch, or throw, the focus is always on having fun, building confidence, and fostering teamwork.

This program not only teaches baseball skills, but also helps kids build important life skills like cooperation, active listening, and communication. It’s an excellent opportunity for children to understand the value of working together as part of a team.

SIYBS provides all necessary equipment, including uniforms, helmets, and catcher’s gear, so your child will have everything they need to get started. Parents will sign up their child individually, and players will be placed on teams based on teammate or coach requests, or by teams in their local area.

SEASON DATES: June 23rd – August 14th

Practices start the week of June 23rd
Games start the week of June 30th (8 games)
Weekend Game & Picture Day Saturday July 12th
Season may extend due to field availability and makeup games

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:

Register on or before May 15th for priority placement. Coach request and player requests may not be available after the deadline. **Registration after May 15th will be a waitlist registration

DIVISIONS & FEES:

6u Coed T-ball (ages 4,5,6) $115 per player
6u Coed Coach Pitch (ages 4,5,6) $115 per player
8u Coed Coach Pitch (ages 6,7,8) $115 per player

**a non-refundable 3% banking fee and a $1 service fee will be added at the time of check out**

GAME & PRACTICE INFORMATION:

Volunteer coaches will schedule the practice location and time with SIYBS on their scheduled day.
Total of 8 scheduled games.
Games will start at 6:00pm on their scheduled day (except for weekend game on Picture Day).
Schedules are estimated to be released by June 19th.

6u (T-Ball and Coach Pitch)

6u teams will have practices on Monday and Wednesday for the first week of season
Starting the week of June 30th, practices will be on Mondays and games will be on Wednesdays
6u teams will have a 45 minute Weekend Game & Picture Day on July 12th

8u will have practices on Tuesday and Thursday for the first week of season
Starting the week of June 30th, practices will be on Tuesdays and games will be on Thursdays
8u teams will have a 45 minute Weekend Game & Picture Day on July 12th

Players are assigned to teams based on the high school area chosen in the registration. If there is no team directly in the player’s area, then we will assign to a team that is nearby. Each team will be assigned a home field in their area where they will play at least half of their games. We will make every attempt to schedule other games as close to home as possible. Depending on the number of teams in each area, we may not be able to avoid scheduling games in another part of town.

Coaches Meeting – June 10th at 6:00pm – Zoom link to be emailed out to all coaches
Equipment Pick Up – June 11th – 12th from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at SIYBS Storage
Equipment Return – August 19th from 2:30pm – 6:30pm at SIYBS Storage

VOLUNTEER COACH:

A Volunteer Head Coach is needed before a team can be built
All SIYB coaches are volunteers. For more information on how to become a volunteer coach, contact info@siyb.org
Volunteer Rec Head Coaches receive 50% off one player’s registration per team coached. The 50% refund will be issued after the season starts.
Volunteer Coaches will need to have a current background check and Abuse Prevention Certificate on file with SIYBS.
Coaches will contact registered players after rosters have been posted.
