Summer Recreational Sign Up (Ages 8-15)

The Summer Recreational Baseball League (10U-15U) is the perfect opportunity for players who are still refining their skills and looking to grow within a supportive, structured environment. This league is specifically designed for older kids who may not yet be ready for the more intense competition of higher-level play but still want to improve their game and have fun with teammates.

In the Recreational League, the focus is on building strong foundational skills—such as hitting, fielding, and base running—while also emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and the enjoyment of the game. It’s a great fit for players who are looking to develop their baseball abilities in a low-pressure setting, allowing them to build confidence and love for the sport.

Whether they’re new to the sport or have some experience under their belt, this league gives players the opportunity to grow, connect with others, and enjoy baseball in a way that fits their individual needs. So, if your child is looking for a more relaxed yet rewarding baseball experience, the Summer Recreational League is the ideal choice for them!

SEASON DATES: June 23rd – August 14th

• Practices start week of June 23rd
• Games start the week of June 30th (9 games)
• 10U Saturday Double Header & Picture Day July 12th 
• 12U & 15U Sunday Double Header Day & Picture Day July 13th
• Season may extend due to make up games/ field availability

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:

Register on or before May 15th for priority placement. Coach request and player requests may not be available after the deadline. **Registration after May 15th will be a waitlist registration.

DIVISIONS & FEES:

• 10u Rec (ages 8,9,10) – $175 per player
• 12u Rec (ages 10,11,12) – $200 per player
• 15u Rec (ages 13,14,15) – $215 per player

**a non-refundable 3% banking fee and a $1 service fee will be added at the time of check out**

GAME & PRACTICE INFORMATION:

• Volunteer coaches will schedule the practice location and time with SIYBS on their scheduled day.
• Total of 9 scheduled games.
• Games will start at 6:00pm on their scheduled day (except for weekend game on Picture Day).
• Schedules are estimated to be released by June 19th.

10u 

• 10u teams will have practices on Monday and Wednesday for the first week of season 
• Starting the week of June 30th, practices will be on Mondays and games will be on Wednesdays
• 10u teams will have a Saturday Double Header & Picture Day on July 12th

12u & 15u 

• 12u & 15u will have practices on Tuesday and Thursday for the first week of season 
• Starting the week of June 30th, practices will be on Tuesdays and games will be on Thursdays
• 12u & 15u teams will have a Sunday Double Header & Picture Day on July 12th

We assign players based off of high school area chosen in registration. If there is no team directly in the player’s area then we will assign to a team that is nearby.

SIYBS UNIFORM INCLUDES:

• Athletic shoes/cleats (10u no metal cleats)

DICK’S SPORTING GOODS WEEKEND: June 13 – June 16

COACH INFORMATION:

• Coaches Meeting – June 10th at 7:00pm – Zoom link go be sent out prior 
• Equipment Pickup – June 11th – 12th from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at SIYBS Storage
• Equipment Return – August 19th from 2:30pm – 6:30pm at SIYBS Storage

VOLUNTEER COACH:

• A Volunteer Head Coach is needed before a team can be built
• All SIYB coaches are volunteers. For more information on how to become a volunteer coach, contact info@siyb.org
• Volunteer Rec Head Coaches receive 50% off one player’s registration per team coached. The 50% refund will be issued after the season starts.
• Volunteer Coaches will need to have a current background check and Abuse Prevention Certificate on file with SIYBS.
• Coaches will contact registered players after rosters have been posted.
