Competitive Team

Our SIYB Competitive baseball league, formerly called Full-Team, was created to continue the development of experienced and skilled players who desire to push their skills beyond the recreational experience. Aspects such as leading-off (11u and above) and keeping score adds a level of strategy to the game that competitive athletes thrive on. Each team is signed up by the head coach where all required gear and uniforms are obtained by the head coach.

Another component to the competitive league is the 16 regular game season and teams are guaranteed two tournament games. There will be a City Championship tournament at the end of the season!

Find a Player/ Find a Team

Competitive teams are registered by the coach, who then can provide players with a team code to complete their registration for the roster. If you are a coach who may be short players, or a parent looking for a team for your child to join, you can do so through our “SIYB Free Agency” group listed on Facebook. Here parents and coaches can connect to talk about opportunities to join teams around town.

2025 Registration will open January 1 2025

SEASON DATES: March 25th – June 9th

• Practices can begin March 25th (depending on field availability)
• Regular Season Games starts the week of April 8th
• 16 Regular Season Games, 2 game guarantee City Championship Tournament
• Weekend Games & Picture Day: April 13th-14th
• Season ends with City Championship Tournament June 4th thru June 9th presented by Arby’s
• ** season may extend due to field availability and/or make up games if needed

• Click on Volunteer
• Click on Find Volunteer Roles
• View Divisions for the program
• Choose Division and complete registration
• From confirmation email, invite players
• Players CANNOT register for the competitive league until coach has registered the team and paid the team fee

GAME INFORMATION:

SIYB PROVIDES:

• 2 boxes of baseballs for each team
• Score Book
• Line Up Cards
• Sportsmanship Pins

TEAMS PROVIDE:

• team uniforms
• equipment such as catcher’s gear, helmets, bats, etc.

DICK’S SPORTING GOODS WEEKEND: March 29 – April 1 (stores closed on March 31)

• Who – All competitive coaches
• Team Supply Pick Up at SIYB Storage: March 28th – 29th, 3:00pm – 6:00pm
• Competitive Coaches will need to have a current background check and Abuse Prevention Certificate on file with SIYB

It’s never too early! SIYB is committed to providing the best competitive
and learning experience for our baseball players and we are
actively recruiting umpires for the upcoming seasons in 2023. If you
