The recreational softball league is perfect for players with any level of experience, looking to have some fun out on the field. It is a great league to stay active, meet new players, and continue to grow and develop. Players can sign up individually, and will be placed on teams based on teammate requests, coach requests, and teams within their area. All uniforms are provided, helmets, and catchers gear for games.

If you are looking to have some fun, learn and develop your softball skills, and grow with your teammates then recreational softball is the game for you.

SEASON DATES: June 17th – August 6th

Practices can start June 17th
Opening Day & Picture Day Saturday July 13th and Venue TBD
Games start the week of July 1st (10 games)
Season may extend due to field availability and makeup games

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:

Register on or before May 16th for priority placement. Coach request and player requests may not be available after the deadline. **Registration after May 16th will be a waitlist registration

8u Coed Coach Pitch (ages 6,7,8) $115 per player

**a non-refundable 3% banking fee and a $1 service fee will be added at the time of check out**

GAME INFORMATION:

8U Coach Pitch – game days Tuesdays/Thursdays
10 games, game start times 6:00pm
Opening Day TBD includes 45 min game and pictures

Players are assigned to teams based on the high school area chosen in registration. If there is no team directly in the player’s area then we will assign to a team that is nearby. Each team will be assigned a home field in their area where they will play at least half of their games. We will make every attempt to schedule other games as close to home as possible. Depending on the number of teams in each area, we may not be able to avoid scheduling games in another part of town.

PRACTICES:

Tues/Thurs Practices will be twice for the first two weeks of the season
The Volunteer Coach picks the practice day/location
Coaches will contact players after the coach’s meeting

SIYS UNIFORM INCLUDES:

Visor, jersey, and game pants

PLAYER PROVIDES:

Athletic shoes, a glove and a bat

SIYS PROVIDES TEAM:

Gear Bag (will be turned in at the end of the season)
Box of softballs for each team

COACHES MEETING:

When – June 11th, time 6:00pm

Equipment pick-up @ SIYB Storage: June 12th, 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Equipment turn in @ SIYB Storage: August 13th, 2:30 – 6:30 pm

VOLUNTEER COACH:

A Volunteer Head Coach is needed before a team starts – All SIYS coaches are volunteers. For more information, contact info@siyb.org
Volunteer Coach Pitch Head Coaches receive 50% off one player’s registration per team coached. The 50% refund will be issued after the season starts.
Volunteer Coaches will need to have a current background check and abuse prevention training certificate on file with SIYB
