Fall Recreational Softball 10u-14u

The Fall Recreational 10U-14U Softball Games Only League is the perfect fit for players with some experience who are eager to get more game time. Whether your child wants to refine their skills or simply enjoy more time on the field, this league offers an excellent opportunity to stay active and improve.

In the SIYBS Recreational League, players will stay physically engaged while developing important social skills through positive interactions with teammates and opponents. The league emphasizes fun, teamwork, and sportsmanship, providing a supportive environment for players to gain valuable game experience and prepare for future competitive play.

With a focus on gameplay rather than practice, players will have the chance to experience real-game situations, improve decision-making, and build confidence on the field. Whether your player is looking to sharpen their skills for a competitive team or just enjoy more time playing softball, the 10U-14U Games Only League offers a fantastic, low-pressure environment for growth and development.

SEASON DATES: SEPT 27th – Oct 18th

• Games start on September 27th
• Game Schedules to be released September 17th
• Season may extend due to field availability and weather conditions

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 

• Register on or before August 21st for priority placement. Coach request and player requests may not be available after the deadline. **Registration after August 21st will be a waitlist registration

DIVISION & FEES:

• 10u (ages 8, 9, 10) – $125 per player 
• 12u (ages 10, 11, 12) – $130 per player 
• 14u (ages 12, 13, 14) – $130 per player

**a non-refundable 3% banking fee and a $1 service fee will be added at the time of check out**

GAME INFORMATION:

• Game days for 10u-14u will be Saturdays and will consist of a double header
• Games will be scheduled between 8:00am – 8:00pm 
• 10u-14u teams will play a total of 8 games throughout the season 
• Games will be played at Dwight Merkel Sports Complex, Plantes Ferry Sports Complex, and Franklin Park, unless additional fields are needed

Players are assigned to teams based on the high school area chosen in registration. If there is no team directly in the player’s area then we will assign to a team that is nearby.

PRACTICES:

• Practice fields will not be assigned for the Games Only League

SIYBS UNIFORM INCLUDES:

• Team Jersey
• Visor

PLAYER PROVIDES:

• Athletic shoes/cleats (10u no metal cleats)
• Game Pants
• Glove 
• Bat

SIYBS PROVIDES TEAM:

• Gear Bag (will be turned in at the end of the season)
• Box of softballs for each team
• Score Book
• Line Up Cards

COACH INFORMATION:

• There will be no coach meeting – a slide deck will be sent out to all coaches prior to the beginning of the season with all important information
• Equipment Pickup – September 9th – 10th from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at SIYBS Storage

VOLUNTEER COACH:

• A Volunteer Head Coach is needed before a team can be built
• All SIYB coaches are volunteers. For more information on how to become a volunteer coach, contact info@siyb.org
• Volunteer Rec Head Coaches receive 50% off one player’s registration per team coached. The 50% refund will be issued after the season starts.
• Volunteer Coaches will need to have a current background check and Abuse Prevention Certificate on file with SIYBS.
• Coaches will contact registered players after rosters have been posted.
