Spring 2024 Competitive Softball

The competitive softball league is geared towards experienced, skilled players and teams. The season is longer, games are played on the more favorable fields, and the season ends with a two game guarantee city championship tournament. Each team provides their own uniforms, and equipment such as helmets, catchers gear, etc. SIYS will supply softballs for games, lineup cards, a scorebook, and sportsmanship pins to recognize players after each game. Coaches will register an entire team vs individual sign up.

Competitive teams who may be short players do have the ability to find players or if you are looking to join a competitive team you can do so through our “SIYB Free Agency” group listed on Facebook. Here parents and coaches can connect.

If you love the sport of softball, have experience and skills pushing you to the next level to be challenged, then competitive softball is the game for you.

Registration OPEN

SEASON DATES: March 25th – June 9th

Practices can begin March 25th (depending on field availability)
Regular Season Games starts the week of April 8th
16 Regular Season Games, 2 game guarantee City Championship Tournament
Weekend Game & Picture Day: April 13 – 14th
Season ends with City Championship Tournament June 4th thru June 9th presented by Arby’s ** Season may extend due to field availability and/or make up games if needed

GAME INFORMATION:

2 boxes of softballs for each team

Line Up Cards
Sportsmanship Pins

TEAMS PROVIDE:

Team uniforms
Equipment such as catcher’s gear, helmets, bats, etc.

COACHES MEETING:

When – March 20th, time 7:00 pm
Where – Zoom
Who – All 10u -14u Competitive Coaches
Team Supply Pick Up at SIYB Storage: March 28th, time 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Competitive Coaches will need to have a current background check and abuse prevention training certificate on file with SIYB
